How does someone from the South become a Yankees fan?

Well nobody got hurt so I look at it as a win.

Yeah I'm not too worried. We're talking about preseason still.
Teheran has a 0.69 ERA in preseason, LOL. And look at our batting averages compared to the Yanks. We've got more players batting over .300 than you have hitting over .250. Hahahaha.
Good luck with that.

Preseason stats can only be encouraging, not discouraging, that's the written rule right?

You are talking about the Yankees, right? I mean, when is the last time they did not have the highest payroll in baseball? They should be winning the WS EVERY year.
The New York Yankees have the highest payroll for the 10th consecutive season, paying their players a total of $206 million. The highest-paid player is still the Yankees' Alex Rodriguez, making $33 million. He's been the best-paid player in baseball for 10 years in a row. The Yankees also have the next highest three salaries with CC Sabathia ($24.3 million), Derek Jeter ($22.6 million) and Mark Teixeira ($20.6 million).

This article was from 2010. Talk about underachieving. that would be like a NCAA football team having the #1 recruiting class for 10 years in a row and winning 2 Nattys in that time. Think anyone would be happy with that?
Go to the salary potion and the Yankees, in 2010 had a payroll of $206,333,389.00. #2 was the Red Sox with $162,747,333.00.
Wow.

Past accomplishments do not dictate the future. The yanks have had a stellar past, there's no doubting that.
But you started this thread bragging about today's Yankees, and right now your team is struggling to hit the ball. You were held to 1 unearned run vs our starter and then you trounced a no-name rookie for 5 runs. That's how you win pre-season games. But it's a fiscade. It isn't real. Not until you do it against starting pitching.
And like I said, your team can't hit starting pitching right now. So I wouldn't feel to good about your season if I were you. Whatever you did in the past doesn't mean much at this particular moment.
