I've never seen Georgia win a basketball game since Fox has been coach

Shows how often I watch Georgia basketball.
The only game I watched this year was yesterday. They looked terrible. BTW, Kentucky ain't no good either. They were shooting less than 50% from the free throw line. They start 4 freshmen, yet Georgia wasn't even competitive with them.
Last year, I watched Georgia lose to Youngstown State, Southern Mississippi, and Georgia Tech.

For a team with a few 3 stars and a bunch of no-names, I’d say UGA has done very well this season. To say they’re no good because of one game isn’t fair. Kentucky won on talent, not because they’re a better team. I expect them to get bounced from the tourney early.
But I’m extremely proud of this UGA team, they’ve exceeded my expectations. If Fox can ever figure out the recruiting part, UGA will be dangerous. There is a lot to be excited about. With everyone returning, we have a nice nucleus the next 2 seasons.

Agree. Fox is a good coach and doing more with less but the less part is the problem. Maybe the guy needs to hire a recruiting coordinator.

Freshman or not, its still Kentucky . They typically dont stay in Lexington long enough to become upperclassman anyway.

Problem is Kentucky and other schools havea stronghold on highschool coaches in Georgia. Highschool coaches try literally try to avoid UGA at all cost. Kind of a toxic atmosphere. We need a hell of a recruiter to get it done.

High school coaches aren't the problem. College basketball recruiting is all about AAU

This^^^^
I work with a AAU coach who is a die hard DAWG! Great guy but he says UGA never comes after his players. UK, UNC and Duke does and he hates UK as much as me. I agree with this post 100%. I cannot stand UK but if you can't beat them, join them!

Interesting. Why aren't we recruiting players from AAU?

I'd rather watch naked women wrestling.

I've never seen them win a basketball game period. I'll watch 5 minutes and then get bored.

College basketball is not as good as it was when the kids stayed in school. I think experienced players make fewer turnovers and fouls ect.
I saw UGA vs LSU at LSU. It was rather boring but I think Fox may have the kind of team that will stay with him for three or four years. No real super stars that the NBA is going to get real excited over.
Look at UF this year with all their seniors.
The strategy may be to ignore the high school super stars and recruit the guys that will stay three or four years.

That's worked out well for Wichita St and Creighton this year. Don't see too many Louisville players leaving early either. Talent AND experience usually makes for a long tourney run. UKKK won a few years ago because those kids were just flat better than everyone else, but it's very rare for a team full of freshmen to get to the Final Four
