This is the granddaddy of all math themed holidays. Mole Day is for Melvins, Square Root Days are clearly for squares and don't even get me started on e day. Pythagorean Theorem Days, Fibonacci Day are close, But don't hold a candle to the glory and majesty of Pi day.
We have got a huge celebration planned with lots of great food and plenty of games.
Some of the themed ones include pi memorization challenge, pi endurance challenge, pi speed challenge. Also have a 3.14 kilometer run planned, a booth for creating custom pi themed shirts and other crafts and pie baking and eating contests as well.
Possible a "Life of Pi" showing later on, I don't know if there will be enough time though. At 3:14 pm we are going to commit mass suicide in homage to the ancient Egyptians and Babylonians who first approximated the magical number.
What about you people, any activities planned?

March 14-Steak and Blowjob Day
Celebrated on March 14th, Steak and Blowjob Day is a holiday for men, celebrated the month after Valentine's Day -- a holiday for women.
The idea is simple: no cards, flowers, candy or other whimsical gifts. Ladies (and gay men), you simply bestow your partner with a steak and a blowjob. Not necessarily in that order.
Dave: "Hey Bob, what did Sally get you for Steak and Blowjob Day?"
Bob: "Well Dave, that would be a big juicy steak, and a big juicy blowjob."

Eating some pie today. Getting married a year from today. (That's right, we're taking it to five sig figs).

In Carl Sagan's novel Contact it is suggested that the creator of the universe buried a message deep within the digits of pi. This part of the story was left out of the movie.
Feeling ambitious? See if you can find something in there.

I'm glad to see someone else finally picked up on this. I've mentioned it many times to friends, but I think I've become that old fart that everybody just humors, hoping he'll shut up. The movie was mostly entertaining, but completely missed the point of the book. If anyone wants to prove beyond any doubt that there's a God, Sagan laid out a damn good path to it.
