Portis is so overrated. Yeah he will make some shots that most 6'10 guys won't, but he will also take a ton of stupid shots and is completely worthless near the rim.

Portis is not, nor was he ever advertised as an inside player. He has to play a role that doesn't fit his skill set because Harris thinks he's Larry Johnson and won't stay in the paint.

Take Portis off of this team and they would have had a losing conference record

They're both really good- I don't see how anyone can argue that Portis hasn't been a great addition to the team just stupidity/venting.

I agree Kingsley is good, but Portis is going to be big time. He is going to be right up there with our best ever.

I'm excited to see both of them next year after some time to mature and hit the weights.

I love them both but boy did we get exposed with them running the floor.

SC had probably 10 points beating them back down the floor for easy buckets.

Can't happen.

Go watch film of Kingsley's first game to now.

Not only is he getting it on the defensive end, he is starting to show an offensive game, something he did not possess while playing AAU or prep school last year.

Kingsley has always been advertised as having a high ceiling and great potential, but he was far from having a complete game.

Portis is the real deal, he was ready from Day 1. He is not a block to block player, never was advertised as one, never pretended to be one. He is a "stretch-4" and plays that role very very well.

When depth is there on the chart, guards who all can play and contribute, guys to back up Portis and Kingsley, you will see the ability to play a line up of both Kingsley and Portis with a guy like Harris at the 3 and Qualls/Madden at the 2 to go big.

A penetrating high basketball IQ is needed for this lineup, Beard could be it.

Thompson will have to be ready to give Kingsley/Portis a rest guarding the oppositions 5, really need another forward to go with Kingsley, Portis, Harris, and Thompson.

Miles, Williams, and Qualls have the ability to play the "3" or 2/4 positions.

Madden and Babb can play a "1/2" position in the line up.

With Anderson's rosters it is all about versatility and interchangeability available via the roster.

I don't think Moses is better than Portis just yet, but I do think he'll be a higher draft pick. His instincts on the defensive end will make him a lot of money, but he's also got great offensive ability. And he's only just now starting to learn. I know this will sound crazy, but he reminds me of Olajuwon. Great defensive player. Soft touch from 15 feet. Has some shake & bake down in the post.

His ceiling is huge.

Portis just needs to get mean. Add some muscle/weight and get an attitude down low.

He plays like a pussy on the glass right now, rarely blocks out or bodies a man.

When the other team gets offensive rebounds, it's usually because Portis is outworked or out of position.

I expect him to grow a lot this offseason.

Yeah - seems like he's got the frame to add some solid muscle.

Portis is the future for the next couple years, Kingsly is/was a project that is working out nicely.

While Kingsley had a great game, you are wrong. Like someone said above, Portis was ready from day 1 and Kingsley has been a work in progress. They will both turn out to be good, but Portis is and will be the better player.
