Leaders and loser are bolded.

Returning starters per team - 2013 PPG allowed - 2013 YPG allowed
Alabama - 4/11 - 13.9 - 286.5
Arkansas - 6/11 - 30.8 - 413.4
Auburn - 6/11 - 24.7 - 420.7
Florida - 7/11 - 21.1 - 314.3
Georgia - 10/11 - 29.0 - 375.5
Kentucky - 8/11 - 31.2 - 427.2
LSU - 8/11 - 22.0 - 340.7
Ole Miss - 10/11 - 23.7 - 370.5
Mississippi State - 8/11 - 23.0 - 349.3
Missouri - 6/11 - 23.1 - 417.9
South Carolina - 6/11 - 20.3 - 350.0
Tennessee - 5/11 - 29.0 - 418.4
Texas A&M - 10/11 - 32.2 - 475.8
Vanderbilt - 3/11 - 24.6 - 354.8

You can pretty much make a case for Alabama, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and South Carolina.

Florida, because of their returning talent and great defensive coaching, is probably the safest bet, IMO.

I think Auburn improves, personally, but not sure they break the top 5. *IF* they actually speed up their play calls, they can end up giving up more yards and points anyway, but I think overall they'll still be more talented and deeper than they were this year.

Why do you think that Saban's going to the HUNH this year?...to protect that weak-arse defense he's gonna have.

Auburn won't crack top five but it wouldn't surprise me if we cracked the top half of the conference

Lawson and our other rotating d-linemen are about to go beastmode and our linebackers will be greatly improved

I think we'll see LSU return to "typical" form if y'all can have some youngsters step up along the defensive line.

Y'all have talented LBs. Kwon Alexander is a boss.

Don't even get me started on y'all's DBs.

Mississippi State plays a physical brand of football on par with Alabama, Florida, and LSU of years past. They also have a ferocious pass rush. Thank god Nickoe Whitley is gone.

Alabama certainly has the talent, but it's whether or not they'll put it together.

We have a solid unit across the board, but our defense has yet to have a game where they just took over. We had great games in 2013 where we got to the QB or stuffed the run, but we haven't had a game where our defense just went out and won it for us, something that must happen if we can reach ten wins. We will, however, have one of the nastiest secondaries in the league and probably the country with first team all-American Kody Prewitt, freshman all-American Tony Conner, solid CB Chief Brown, incoming stud CJ Hampton, and concussion causin' Anthony Alford

I think this should be 7/11.

Josh Holsey should be included as a starter from last years team. He had a season ending injury early on and Ryan Smith took over after that.

Also, the loss of Jake Holland should be a positive as well.

So, let's say 8/11.

I agree with this... i'd like to see the numbers get below 20 ppg and under 375 ypg. I think it's doable. The front seven should be solid... it's the secondary that's a big concern... but the league is lacking the QBs it had last season.

No Bama, not legit.

Bama hasn't allowed more than 15 PPG since 2007
