Does this concern any vols fans? I get that recruiting is extremely important, but you're in the middle of your 2nd spring practice as UT football coach. At some point you've actually got to stress coaching your football team, right?

I would gather he is aware of that, but recruiting is the foundation, which is what Butch is building.

You don't understand the roster attrition that has taken place at UT over the past 5 years. It will take probably 2 more cycles before we have SEC-level depth and talent.

context is your friend. CBJ is confident in his abilities to coach-up and develop players, so much so that it is implied.
If he gets the right players on campus, UT will be very dangerous.That is what he is saying.
