If they are just going to throw $4 million away like that, they might as well just give it to me next time.

The field is beyond sub-par, especially by SEC standards. But until you build a whole new stadium, they had to at least upgrade the existing facilities. It looks like a lot of this money went on stuff they shouldn't have had to spend money on. Padding on the outfield walls. Re-did both bullpens. Work on both dugouts. Indoor facilities with cages and mounds, conference rooms/offices. Like I said before, it's hard to recruit kids when you give them a tour of the facilities and you have to walk a mile to get to the ballpark. It doesn't make the stadium state of the art, but it was necessary.

Article has some photos of the new locker room under construction.

New Mizzou locker room complete, said it was modeled after MLB locker rooms. Looks decent I guess, also learned that the all of the chair backs in Taylor stadium were upgraded to improve fan comfort plus the additional seating along right field line. I really wish they could find $2million more to do it like the proposed picture.

I finally went to a Mizzou baseball game. Honestly, the stadium wasn't that bad, especially not as bad as it looks in the pictures in this thread. It looks way better than the old pictures of it. It's still disappointing that they didn't make it look like it does in the rendering, but it does appear that they are putting in fan seating on top of the brick building in left field. It's still bottom tier of the SEC, but at least it looks like they are trying.
