There is no way UGA gets in without winning the SECT.

We really need a couple of those Big East teams like Providence and St. John's especially to tank in their tournament.

I could see Providence and Arkansas being a coin flip to see who gets in.

If Arkansas beats Tennessee they will be fine, but if they lose then Sunday might be a stressful day for y'all.

Winning 2 and we're a lock and probably seeded around 10 or 11.

Go 1-1 and if we get down to the fourth bracket and aren't called you'll see some mini-melts.

If we go to Atlanta to sightsee, then we're at the mercy of other conferences and any upset will likely push us out. They way we lost at Bama did more damage to us than anything. Was a team that looked gassed and uninterested and seemed to be sparring instead of fighting.

UGA wins 1 SECT game and they will have 13 SEC wins...how do you keep them out? I honestly think the SEC deserves 5 teams to be invited...we have just been sold short and beat up on each other.

Hell...AU gave UF fits.

Alabama beat 4 of those bubble teams.

Those 4 should be eliminated from NCAA consideration.

Dayton and St. Joe's are both currently projected last 4 in. Only 1 of those will get a bid. If Dayton wins their first game, they play St. Joe's the next game. In short, there is really an extra spot on that last 4 list.

We at least have to beat Florida and that might not even be enough.

In other words, we are fricked

Because we play in shite conference and they don't really have any wins of note, especially out of conference.

Stanford (19-11) could also shite the bed Saturday against Washington State and open a spot. They are projected as a Last 4 Bye team now. Stanford has dropped 3 of their last 4. Washington State (10-20) beat UCLA by 18 their last game.

Georgia isn't even on the bubble. One win in the SEC tournament isn't going to change that either.

Arky/Tenn on Friday night will be an elimination game. Loser is out. Tennessee NEVER does well in the SEC tourney.

I don't think loser is out. If Arkansas wins the first game against Carolina/Auburn we are in IMO. Losing to Tennessee isn't enough for the committee to leave us completely out of the tournament. My guess is we would get a 12 seed play in game if we lose on Friday.

If Tennessee loses on Friday, I still think they are in, most likely as an 11 seed play in.

Eta: beating Carolina or Auburn obviously isn't much, but losing that game would put us in the NIT. It's not so much winning the game as it is not losing that will keep us in.

Highly doubt this.

Not that Lunardi is the final say, but I don;t think that win against USCe or Auburn will do a bit of good. Arky is going to have to beat UT, especially if the teams creeping up behind you do better in their conference tourney.

I'm guessing you're not on the selection committee.

You think the loser of Arkansas/Tennessee would be left out? Look at the body of work. Both teams have legitimate claims to be in, and neither would be a bad loss for the other.

If you read my edit above, I agree with you. A win against Carolina or Auburn doesn't mean much. Avoiding a bad loss is the important thing.
