my faith in Saban as a player safety advocate is wavering

now, i'm just not sure he means what he says. it's so confusing.
Last week, radio personality Colin Cowherd dissected the three points, saying this is nothing more than "fear" on Saban's part.
"Let's not hide behind the exposure or the competitive imbalance," Cowherd said early last week. "You're feeding your players to get to 338 (pounds), scheduling Chattanooga who's defensive linemen are 288 pounds and you're pummeling them with 58, 68, 70 plays a game."
"If you are really deeply concerned about exposure to plays, why do you schedule games in which you are facing smaller, inferior teams and can dominate time of possession?" he asks.
He cites Georgia State, Florida Atlantic, North Texas, Kent State, Colorado State and others.
"You know going into those games you're going to win by 50 points," Cowherd said. "You're not worried about competitive balance, not worried about exposure plays. In 2012, your offensive line averaged the same height and weight as the New York Giants, yet you scheduled Florida Atlantic so you could pummel them for 65 plays."

He brings up a decent point, but that will get lost in all the deflecting and 'cowterd sucks!!!11!' posts.

He has the want to limit exposures but some fans do not have the chest to accept his help to our future generations.

I have about five bama friends that I talk to regularly and have gone to games with. They have all read Saban's champion book and try to live their life according to his words. Then after the games line up for over an hour to catch a glimpse of him. It's a fricking cult and it's kind of scary.

good points in the OP
and in my 4 1/2 years on this board, I've never seen Bama fans on here get so pissy so quick...so excellent work
their attitudes seem to be changing from cocky to defensive

His failure in player safety is worse than 9/11 or the loss to ULM.

Your faith was lost when he went to Miami. When he came to Bama, it went from lost faith to permanent butt-hurt.
If he had stayed at LSU, your people would have walked into h--l to support him. Why would you expect less from Bama people?
