Freshman • DH • Knoxville, Tenn.
• Hit .417 for the week as the Vols swept La Salle in midweek action and took two of three from No. 24 Arizona State in Tempe … Was 5-for-12 at the plate with a double and four runs scored … Recorded a team-high seven RBIs … Walked three times … Was 3-for-3 on stolen base attempts.
• Reached base safely in all 14 games he’s played this season … Recorded an even .500 slugging percentage and a .533 on-base percentage for the week … Opened the Arizona State series with an RBI single on Friday … Added another RBI single in the Vols’ 6-5 win over the Sun Devils on Saturday … Closed the series with a 2-for-3 performance with two RBIs, two runs scored and two walks against ASU … Also stole home in the finale in Tempe.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Aaron Nola • LSU
Junior • RHP • Baton Rouge, La.
• Nola increased his consecutive innings streak without allowing an earned run to 53 as he fired eight scoreless innings in a win over Purdue on Friday … Nola limited the Boilermakers to just two singles in eight innings while recording 101 pitches … he walked none and established a career-high with 12 strikeouts while allowing no Purdue hitter to advance beyond first base.
• Nola last allowed an earned run on May 23, 2013 against Arkansas in the SEC Tournament … Nola is 4-0 this season with a 0.00 ERA in 27 innings … he’s recorded only two walks with 36 strikeouts and opponents are batting just .121 against him.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Robert Tyler • Georgia
RHP • Cordele, Ga.
• Hurled a career-high 8 scoreless innings and allowed only a pair of singles in combined shutout of rival Ga. Tech; Got a no decision...Held the Jackets hitters to a .074 (2-for-27) batting average in the contest...Totaled 6 strikeouts and 2 walks while facing 31 batters in two appearances (1 start, 1 relief) this week
• In 19.1 IP to begin his career, Tyler has allowed just 2 ER and sports a 0.93 ERA...Overall this season has tallied15 strikeouts and issued two walks, with an opponent batting average of .157.

Will end up being one of the top 3 GOAT at LSU and that is saying something.

Nola is definitely the best pitcher in the SEC this season.

Chris Ellis from Ole Miss is doing better than even we imagined. He's pitched 27.2 innings and has 0.0 ERA. Nola and Ellis are the only two left without an earned run. Pretty solid pitching right there can't wait to watch them face off

Senzel is a beast. Thanks goodness UGA fired Perno. He was going to UGA until that happened. Thanks UGA!!!!!!
