He sucked arse anyway.

I hate we are losing Lindsay though. He should have started all last season.

From a guy on BOL:

quote:

After suffering several concussions during his time at UA, Wilson went to Chicago before the Sugar Bowl to see the neurologist who is one of the NFL's concussion experts. This doctor told Wilson it was in his best interest not to play football ever again.

The one person that witnessed the event in LA supports Wilson's story.

Both brothers were awful and highly recruited. I wonder what the deal was.

Anyway....glad we have more room for actual talent.

My candidates for transfer are Alec Morris, Parker McLeod, and Brandon Greene. I wouldn't be shocked if Jonathan Cook transfers if Tony Brown passes him on the depth chart. Maybe Altee Tenpenny, but I doubt it. After that, I am not sure who else would leave. Maybe Fowler if he gets hurt again.

kelly is the better technician but he needs much strength and size, and apparently he struggles adding weight. hes 6'5 and has a hard time even getting to 290 lbs. at his size he could really use at least another 15-20 lbs of muscle. its a shame lidsay is gone because he brought a lot more power to the position.

I could see Morris or Mcloud but none of the others you mention. Greene will be battling for the LT spot this spring and fall. Cook is a freshman and has his whole career in front of him and Tennpenny should get some touches this year and more next year with yeldon going pro. I could see Washingon leaving, maybe Orr and then a surprise like Luatua or Kirven. We are only about four spots too high now, so that would about take care of it.

The only reason I say Cook is because I don't think he will ever get meaningful snaps if he gets passed by Brown.

Cook will get a look at safety. Don't think Brown will have any bearing on Cooks PT other than maybe being ahead of him in dime packages.

•WR DeAndrew White pedaled on a stationary bike throughout the media's viewing period. His injury has yet to be specified by Saban, but he's not wearing anything to indicate that it's affecting the lower body. He caught passes as he pedaled.
•Spent a little time watching the offensive line go through its early-practice drills. Veterans are taking the lead spots in drills, as Arie Kouandjio, Leon Brown, Ryan Kelly, Alphonse Taylor and Austin Shepherd worked in spots typically held by first-teamers. With Chad Lindsay gone, it's worth noting that Paul Waldrop, Bradley Bozeman and Chris Posa were seen snapping during early drills.
•Jalston Fowler wasn't the only H-back to get some work carrying the ball with the running backs today. Corey McCarron and Michael Nysewander were also with the group for a period before returning to their normal spots.
•Alabama's running backs went through a drill in which they carried two balls at once. T.J. Yeldon and Kenyan Drake combined for seven lost fumbles last season, so perhaps this is a new way to re-emphasize ball security.
•ESPN was on campus all day, but even the Worldwide Leader doesn't get to stick around for Alabama's practice. David Pollack, Shannon Spake and the crew were packing up during the viewing period and departed at the same time.
•You can tell it's spring and you can tell Nick Saban has a lot of defensive backs when you watch the cornerbacks go through drills. There's a whole lot of teaching happening at the moment in a group that has two starting jobs wide open for the taking. For what it's worth, Eddie Jackson and Cyrus Jones were first up during most drills, but that shouldn't be viewed as an indication of anything.
•No change with ArDarius Stewart on this day. Still a safety.
•No change with the quarterbacks, either, as Blake Sims, Cooper Bateman, Alec Morris and Parker McLeod worked with the wide receivers while David Cornwell threw with the tight ends and H-backs.
•It was hard to decipher last year because we only saw them work with the scout team, but redshirt freshmen Jonathan Cook and Anthony Averett are now being seen working with specific position groups. Cook is a safety and Averett is a defensive back.
•Among the cornerbacks, freshman Tony Brown looks to be one of the biggest.
•Harrison Jones was running on the treadmill while Alabama practiced. We explained why he's not with the team earlier today.
•Some folks may have missed this Saturday, but Brandon Greene is back with the offensive line and it looks to be permanent. He's got the No. 58 and everything.
