Had a 3rd Degree steam burn on my hand a few years ago. Suck it up. Get a thing of cool water to keep it dipped in every little bit which helps the pain more than anything else.

Was attempting to take stuff out of sterilizer that we have for baby supplies.

Ouch. Maybe put a few ice cubes in the water to keep it cold.
