I thought we ran out of gas to an extent... and that streakiness is a sign of youth.

Either way -- won't be any more excuses next year. Time to start getting it done.

Oh well...maybe having a bench next year will help in these situations

Ray did say before the tournament started that he will get his "best assistant coach" back next year with depth. The bench.

There were several times this year where it would have done Borchert some good to put his arse on the bench, but with limited post players as it was there was no way to do that.

In the 5 games following Fred being benched for a game and a half he averaged 15+ ppg, 58% field goal percentage and like 43% from 3.

I think the 60 minutes of basketball y'all played to end the season will really help y'all out going into the offseason. Ending the season on a 15 game losing streak would have hurt

Yeah it's looking like Thomas may end up being a pretty legit player. With Sword, Thomas, Ware and Ready all having another year + some bodies to throw in there maybe it will work out.

I really wish we could somehow land Mario Kegler in 2016.

There is a deal to be had for him... Rumor is he's looking to be a package deal with the #2 C in the country. No idea how they know each other.

If I could give up 40% of my very healthy salary one year -- to assure I got 3 more years added to the end of my contract(that would be down to one year), probably with a nice raise, and getting an entire fanbase on my bandwagon and fired up about basketball instead of being partially ready to fire me -- I think I'd be writing a check...

Yeah if Newman came up to Ray and said cut me a check for 300k and I will join your team right now. Ray would be an idiot not to do it.

Please cheat.

I agree.

And that's about where the figure already is alleged to be with him and UK...

A 500k investment with Newman would end up making him at least 3.5 million.

Where in the world do you back-channel to get this type of information?

Big Train will supposedly talk about it to people he trusts... I heard it from a guy that is supposedly one of those people and have heard from elsewhere as well making me think it's pretty credible. But who knows? Could all be bullshite.

It does seem that Malik is giving us every opportunity to stay in it/win it...

We just better hope he waits until the Spring signing period and ball out of our minds next season.

You've already seen me make at least 5 posts on this. How many do you need?

It's year 3, he sucks. He has even regressed as a floor coach. He gets the rest of the year to straighten it out, but I'd be dangling feelers with a crazy sum of money attached out there right now and forming a list of who is interested.

We're going to have to be willing to pay $$$$ to the next guy.

I don't see Stricklin paying the next guy much more than what we are paying Ray.

Then we can write off basketball for a decade or more.

I don't see Stricklin getting nearly the power in the next search that he got in the first one...
