These kind of signs and floats are pretty common with certain krewes in NOLA (Tucks comes to mind) and the Spanish Town Parade in Baton Rouge. They do a great job of recapping everything they can think of that's happened in pop culture since last Mardi Gras. It's on the level of a comedy roast.

Krewe du Vieux is tough to beat when it comes to lampooning recent major events.
