Dish also agreed to carry Fusion, a new English-language news and entertainment channel that is a joint venture between Disney and Univision Communications, along with the SEC Network, a channel to be launched later this year by ESPN that will broadcast Southeastern Conference games.

Financial terms of the deal, such as how much Dish will pay for carriage rights, couldn't immediately be learned.

This was interesting, and the main focus of the article:

Dish agreed to disable the "Auto Hop" ad-skipping feature for ABC shows until three days after the shows air. That period is important because advertisers pay for TV audiences measured up to three days after a show airs.

Uverse.

and already has Fusion.

of course, they can take Fusion back. Sucky millenial based news show. if I bothered watching it, it wouldn't take long figuring out its political agenda.

Comcast will pick it up. They don't have contracts with consumers so they can bump the price a couple bucks with no problems. Direct will wait until it hurts their bottom line then they'll add it to the lineup, but it'll be the 11th hour.

these bastards are on my last nerve. Expensive, and not very good service. My 2 year agreement is up with them and if they dont carry the SECN, I am G_O_N_E.

You don't know how to play them. Their customer service and ability to keep prices low and free add-ons are what make them worth it.

I've had several years of free Sunday Ticket, numerous free months of premium movie channels for free. If AU basketball comes on a channel I don't get, you just call up and ask for a free trial which they do.

They get in too many pissing contests, but their customer service is second to none.

TWC will lose many customers if they don't sign up, including me. They're not the only game in town anymore.

This is a HUGE development and puts tremendous pressure on DirecTV to follow suit.

They use that package to pull everybody in. Only reason anyone buys directv is to watch millionaires kill eachother.

Ive been a very satisfied Directv customer for 6 years. They have very good service, every time my contract runs up I tell them I am gonna switch to Dish and they give me a ton of upgrades every time plus free movie channels and Sunday Ticket. However if they dont pick up they SEC network I will be switching. I think they are seriously underestimating how many people they are gonna lose by not carrying the SEC network.
