I think for Auburn it was not hiring Bobby Bowden when Shug retired. At that time (1975), it was open knowledge that Bowden would have taken the job if offered. At the very worst, he would have done better than Barfield - beyond that, who knows?

Football wise, Spurrier in 87, imo.

He'd have left for UF anyway.

What if we didn't ignore football for most of our history?

What IF we never hired Fran?

What IF Johnny went to Oregon?

Biggest of last season for A&M and AU:

What IF the ref called the horse collar on Johnny in the AU game?

What if Stoerner hadn't fumbled that ball

What if Vince actually opened up the purse strings and kept Tubby around? We could be what Florida is currently in basketball.

I don't know if it's the biggest "what if", but I do wonder what if Herschel had come back for his 4th year.

Most recently, Tebow committing to Florida over Alabama. Probably saves Shula's job and we never get Saban...and you know the rest.

What if Joe Morrison didn't die and coached at least up until the Holtz tenure?

What if we would've beat Navyin '84?

Those are the 2 biggest.

-The all time rushing record would be literally untouchable, as he would have obliterated it
-He would have 2 Heismans
-We would have another SEC title
-We would have another national title
-As if there was any doubt currently (there's not), it would be a unanimous and unquestioned fact that he is the greatest of all time.

What if DJ Shockley doesn't throw that int right before the half against UF in 2002

or

What if Jan Kemp keeps her whore mouth shut and we could still bring in the barely literate football players.
