Mike had one player, couldn't see who, by the collar talking to him sternly prior to putting him in the game.

MA getting fired up, and tonight was HOG BALL YALL!

Yes, we have a long ways to go to get back to anything like the past. BUt this is a huge step in the right direction. WPS!

One of the most improved teams I've seen in my life over the course of a season.

Night and day from November, hell even a month ago.

Ohhh, I agree. I was LIVID that we lost to GA!

But this team is jelling at the right time so far. We have been snake bitten for so long that we (For the most part) are shocked at the improvement. Gotta say, it sure is fun! Wish I hadn't given up my seats now during the Pel Era!

Arkansas is 4-1 in the last 5 games against Kentucky. Three of those wins were in overtime.

I thought we looked solid for most of the game and I LOVE how we didnt quit when Kentucky made heir runs. Too many times in the last few years have I watched us take an early lead, lose it, and never have any intensity afterwards. One absolutely noticeable difference between this team and the last ten years or more is we are pretty solid from the line, I dont think we missed a FT all night. Great win, hope we can keep this momentum going into the tourney. WPS!

That was Harris.

You can see the direction the program is heading, the same vision the HC has.

We haven't had a HC do that in his first three seasons since the mid 80s...

Its funny how many fans think a coach has to be animated and make a jack arse of him self on the sideline to be "intense".

Mike gets on his players just as hard if not harder than Nolan did, the difference is he does it with a smile on his face instead of a grimace, the words being said and the point being delivered is what is important...

All of that.

I love Portis- I think he's as big of a hog fan as the rest of us regular Joann's.

I loved seeing the players on the bench arms entwined totally into it- just love seeing that comradery and them all wanting it badly. The team just seems to care and not be all me me me me me.

Great win. Go Hogs Go!!!

Noticed that to. All game they were congratulating one another and chanting and stuff. Pretty awesome site considering what we've been through in the last decade. Even qualls who didn't play at the end and in the overtime at all was up and yelling and cheering everyone on.

I think that's the biggest difference from some of our previous teams and this one. It seems like they truly don't care who scores. Just win!

Nice to see a TEAM!

We've had rosters of individuals for far too long over the past decade, Heath was close but still had a couple "bad apples", Pel strives to picked the most rotten of the bushel.

I give him a ton of credit for the turn around. A lot of people point to the suspension of Harris and Qualls (which I do think had a positive impact), but the next game against Bama the team didn't show up. Portis put them on his back and refused to let them lose. It seemed to light a fire and the team has played very well ever since.

What a difference one month makes! Go back on this board 30 days ago and check out the threads. Let's pray they can finish the reg season off right. I'd love to see them get some payback in the conference tourney too.

Bobby "MFing" Portis. Who's that kid from Sylvan Hills that chose UK over us? I forget his name. What ever became of him?
