Which SEC RB will make the biggest splash in the NFL?

I'm talking about the guys that will get drafted this year. I think Hill is gonna be a very serviceable RB for any team that drafts him.

Hill. Big bodied back that still has a ton of carries left in him. Those type backs seem to be more productive in the league than the smaller faster guys.

Hill- he really hasn't played a lot in college and has plenty left for the NFL

Biggest splash? Mason. Those making arguments for Hill are really making arguments for him to have a more productive career...which is a good argument and I lean toward agreeing...but those are 2 different questions. Cadillac Williams made a bigger splash but Ronnie Brown has had the more productive career.

it seems like the smaller guys are finding more use now in the NFL than ever before, with the way offenses spread things out and get guys in space. 20 years ago, would there have been a niche for guys like danny woodhead or darren sproles?
I think both hill and mason can have productive NFL careers, provided they're put in systems that fit their syles.

This is the most reasonable answer. Mason's ball catching ability will make him more versatile.

Yea, this is true. There are those offenses that utilize the smaller quicker backs. The game is definitely changing.

Agreed. I just lean more towards Hill in lasting longer because he's built to take that beating and didn't get an insane amount of carries like Mason. Not a knock on Mason but each back only has so many carries in them. We'll see, though.

I think Hill will be a starter in the NFL for a good 5 or 6 years and contributing on a roster for 7 or 8. He has perfect size and good speed and TONS of tread on the tires.

I would take hill bf any back this season for sure, that 40 time means nothing, if he consistently ran away from defenders with pads on in the fastest league that's all I need to know. I've watched hills highlights and if the guy could come up with a double move or good spin and put his shoulder into players he could be even better. I don't think he's even reached his full potential, in fact I know he hasn't so I like hill. The more I see em both, I think LF is a slightly better hill, he does have that double move and is quicker with the same power. He's gonna be a load and very good back soon! Can't wait

TJ Yeldon will likely surpass Mason's college total after 2014 (needs 134).
Todd Gurley will likely surpass Mason's college total after 2014 (needs 129).
Trent Richardson had more carries in his college career. So did Mark Ingram.
Hell, Braxton Miller had more carries in college than Mason.
Ka'Deem Carey has 227 more carries than Mason and considered by some as the #1 RB on the board.

Definitely. Hill has the prototypical build of a big NFL back.
If New Orleans was picking one up, I think I might like Mason though.
