Just found out my coworker widdles (or is it wittles?) little trinkets and sells em on ebay and etsy. Makes like another 20k a year doing this.

I need better hobbies

The wife does, but my hobbies aren't really marketable.

I brew my own beer every now and then, but give it to friends rather than sell it. I like to tinker with old stereo equipment, but I'm nowhere near knowledgeable enough to make money doing it. Those are about the only ones I could make money doing.

I don't but my ex gf's dad, who was already one of the richest guys I know, makes a ton of money on the side building ipod nanos. He buys the parts which only cost like 30 bucks for 1 ipod and he assembles them and sells them to people for like 80.

They aren't rip offs either he follows the apple specifications to the letter. Makes an extra 2-3k a month.

Cas,

Mostly it comes from past clients' word of mouth. I'm lucky that it has been fairly steady.

I also submit personal paintings in juried competitions and have shown at fine art galleries in Springfield, MO with several internationally famous painters.

But, at this point, most of my commissions are from word of mouth.

The long term goal is to move into more gallery work to strenthen the CV.

I broker tickets every now and then.

Texans/rockets/rodeo/Bama/etc.

I know a good ticket broker in Houston. He sells to me sans processing fees/commission. I get about 10-25% on fees depending on who I'm selling to/what I'm selling.
