The most camp-like spots in Mississippi are the evergreens that grow on either side of I-55 that hide the rural blight.

I like Mississippi

Second favorite state behind Arkansas

I don't really want to camp in the arctic, so Missouri is out

I've camped at both Grenada and Sardis lake a few times.

I don't really know anything about the state parks here.

J.P. Coleman State Park. It's on the Tennessee River (Pickwick). We spend about 15 weekends there every year.

ETA: Check out my avi and middle sig pic.

also depends where in Mississippi. Tishimingo is near the border, but most state parks in Jackson are not that great. Choctaw Trails is pretty cool and there is a nice walking trail near the Natchez Trace. If you are interested in hiking the Vicksburg Battlefield is a pretty cool place. It would be a paved hike but its hilly if you want a challenge

Are you tent camping? There's very little primitive camping there, but those who do normally book one of the concrete pads. It has a pool, well kept bathrooms, and a marina. There are boat rental places in the area also. It's about an hour and a half east from Memphis.

Piney Grove could be another option for you.

Porker

Why don't you and iHam just come camping with me? I promise that I'll show you two a killer time! Trust me...it'll be fun.

I'm known for roughing it and for doing extreme outdoor excursions, like the MR340.

I have all the supplies, so don't worry that. Just bring yourselves.

See above

I don't plan to camp on an ice shelf

Also, I would rather pull my finger and toenails out with rusty pliers than hang out with you

That's a shame. You'd have a blast.

Would anyone else in this thread come camping with me or attempt a marathon canoe excursion?

IRL you'd have a blast, but I understand you have an e-reputation to live up to...and so do I.

Therefore
