It is really easy to wand someone and find a knife. My grandpa got caught with his pocket knife going into a Grizzlies game last year. It took security like 5 seconds to find it.

Seems dumb. This was a playoff game at the Fedex forum, which seats about 19,000. I feel like you would want to wand considering their is gun & knife show so close.

Actually, the smarter move would be not to have a Gun & Knife show on the same day, and overlapping the time, of a UK game. Aside from the stabbing issues, it means parking will be doubled up around the venue and create a traffic snarl. Not enough parking for two venues and tempers will flare.
Point is there will be all kinds of PoPo - State, Metro, and UKPD - around Cal and the team but the rest of the venue is staffed with Andy Frain types who are getting minimum wage and are pretty insecure security.

I had two fraternity brothers who were UK fans with me. One is from Kentucky and the other had same situation as me. Mom went there and we both grew up there.
