Okay, so maybe not megathread. Who's participating today for Alabama?

When is bama's pro day? When's the combine? Sorry, I've been under a rock for a while.

220 for AJ is good. I remember people thinking he was like 210 despite our listing. I recall even before the season he said he was 220, but listed lighter.

I just remembered back in spring/summer '11 when a Bama poster on another site said repeatedly that AJ would break in two the first real hit he took as a starter, then Phillip Sims would take over and become an all-time great.
Three years as a starter and the only snaps I remember him missing were in the Arky game a couple years ago. We were punting so AJ jogged into the training room (probably to take a dump), but I think Arky fumbled the punt. Ely came in and threw a screen to Lacy for a TD

McCarron clearly on edge about critics slighting his game: "I feel like I've been disrespected my whole career because I've won."
AJ McCarron says he loves Patriots, who are like "the Alabama of NFL"

Cecil's take:
@CecilHurt: AJ was a great player at Alabama and no problem to cover but the chip on the shoulder isn't helping him right now.
I'm glad he's throwing at the combine. He's needs to understand that all his college game film just shows that he was a great college QB. Can't blame scouts and GMs for wanting to see more from someone they're considering investing the future of their programs in.

Former Alabama OT Cyrus Kouandjio repped 225 on the bench 21 times. UNC's Russell Bodine leads everyone so far with 42.

AJ doesnt have a chip he has a boulder. Needs to hush and just throw.

At 10 inches, McCarron's hand size was tied for fourth among the 19 quarterbacks here to be poked, prodded and questioned by scouts, general managers and coaches from all 32 NFL teams.
Outside of his hands, McCarron measured out at 6-foot-3 and 220 pounds with a 31 1/2-inch arm length. When he arrived at Alabama in 2009, he was listed at 189 pounds.

I'd say AJ does indeed have a chip on his shoulder. Everyone gets caught up TOO much in the tangible things, but they ignore the intangibles, and AJ blows out every other QB in this draft when it comes to the intangibles.

These numbers should push him ahead of guys who have never accomplished much like Carr and Bortles.

when does he throw? tomm?

AJ needs to shut up, swallow his pride, and work his arse off for this opportunity. College success does not equal NFL success.
He's watched The Brady 6 once too often.
