Those are probably the two least clever/silliest parts of the film- there is a range in the film though. The rant by Dennis the peasant has always been my favorite scene.

Again, the film was done back in the seventies- you prefer American comedies from the 2000's to A British style of comedy from 30 years before. That is an apples to oranges comparison.

Did you also hate the airplane, police academy, and blazing saddle style of movies?

For the record I am not from an older generation at all and watched all the Chappelle skits tons of times- I just also enjoy Monty Python's humor too. If it's not your cup of tea then don't watch it, I refuse to ever watch Napoleoon Dynamite because of the same general reasons.

You save it in photobucket and post it as an image. That's how I do it.

I think everyone dislikes at least one popular comedy. My wife hates Young Frankenstein, I can't stand Pineapple Express.

I slept through that movie.

But to be fair, I had just finished a 12 hour shift when I was at A&M.

Haven't watched it....but I'll get back at you on that. I'll go ahead and cue it on my media player. I know its famous for its jive scene.

police academy

Watched it. It was alright.....way better than that Brit humor (if you wanna call it that) Monty Python.

blazing saddles

Old Western style is not something I enjoy, so I'll probably won't enjoy it, but I'll cue it as well.

But don't confuse my hate for Monty Python as a universal hate for old 'silly' style of comedy. I thoroughly enjoyed silly old comedies such as the 3 stooges or Charlie Chaplin's the tramp character (never really cared much for his liberal messages though). Heck, even some old Mexican 60's and 70's films such as Capulina, La India Maria, and a few Chespirito shorts were just as silly as Monty Python, but actually funny.

You guys be careful, baylol fans are tough as frick these days:

I'm pretty sure I'm going to get banned from my gym.

Today when I was getting dressed, I overheard a Wisky fan and an aggy talking about football. The aggy was braying, for the gazillionth time, the only thing that aggy has to bray about, which is the size of their stadium. "Did you know that we're actually shrinking the capacity next year, down to 102k from 106k yuk yuk yuk. . ." EVERY SINGLE AGGY I know parrots this inconsequential factoid nonstop.

I walked up and pointed at the Wisky guy and said "I'm amazed that you claim your team after that effort against Ohio state, and when is Alvarez going to stop running off coaches?" The aggy guffawed and I instantly pivoted to him "and you should be ashamed that your conference is run by a bunch of pussies that are afraid to let you play Texas. Have fun hiding behind arky's skirts, little brother." I realized I was actually pointing at them while I was speaking.

Crickets. Their gaze never left the floor as they quickly finished up at their lockers.

I astonished even myself, normally I just chuckle and just sorta absentmindedly nod my head and roll my eyes at aggy.

I think that's called daydreaming. I've seen it happen a few times in movies. Am I right??
