I got to go to the 2001 national championship game and ever since then I've basically been a closet fan of the U. I guess it never really hit me how stupid that team was until I was watching the game on YouTube right now. Frank gore and Andre Johnson were returning the opening kick. What I would give for a team like that

True, there were two sides to the coin.
Honestly, as awesome as it was that he went nova and won the Heisman, winning it his first year kinda fricked him over. Turned him from a great college player to a national celebrity and he was nowhere near ready for it, especially given the crowd he was already running with, like you said.

I think he might have been able to become more disciplined/polished as a QB. Facing teams for a third go-round would have forced him to be less swashbuckling and more precise, because they know him well. Maybe the improvement would have been negligible, but those little things are what matter at the next level.

Funny this movie came up over Christmas when I found my parents haven't watched it. I explained it to them and my Dad's response is "so they are glorifying prison culture?"
At least mom was open-minded and her only response was she loves Morgan Freeman (no shite mom, everyone does)

Mine were outraged that I suggested "The Usual Suspects", to me one of the best mysteries ever. They turned it off after 5 minutes and declared it to be disgusting. Old farts even to the old fart!

Off on a tangent a bit, when does "Game of Thrones" get good? Serious question. I had not watched and purposefully avoided threads that talked about it. I asked for and received the first 3 seasons on Blu-ray for Christmas, but it's almost unwatchable. To me so far it is a more boring version of "Days of Our Lives" or "General Hospital", with titties. Not to discount the titties, but there are better sources.
In contrast, I stumbled into "Vikings" after finally receiving my Fire TV Stick from Amazon last week. Watched both of the first 2 seasons straight through because I couldn't turn it off. Great series that I had strangely never heard of. No titties because it is a History Channel product, but other than that is far and away a better series than what I've seen so far with GOT.
Does GOT get better? Or do I just not get it?

That movie is fricking stupid. I don't understand how people find it funny. I had to watch it twice just to make sure I wasn't the one who missed the jokes. But I'm pretty sure its the movie. An African swallow??? I don't get it.

Every season is 10 episodes. Episodes 8-10 are always the best with episode 9 usually being a battle of some sort and the climax.
