Tomorrow is Qualifying. WHich is usually good. But, not great. Until they changed the Rules this year.......where they're gonna let everyone qualify at the same time in packs.
Should be comical.

I'm keeping an eye on Brian Scott driving for RCR. Although he's a full-timer for them in the Nationwide series he seemed to do well in practice for the Daytona 500. I'll have to see how he does in qualifying but he's got talent and could be a sleeper.

Oh I feel like an idiot. Did play a 25:1 bet on MT Jr but I guess I have to wait until next week to see how that works out. Gives me time to scout out a few more underdogs.
Forgive me it's usually the only race I pay attention to all year.

Positions 1-2 are locked in for next Sunday’s race and will start on the front row. Positions 3-32 will be set by the results of Thursday’s Budweiser Duel races. Positions 33-36 will be set by the fast four drivers from Sunday qualifying if not already made it into the race. Positions 37-42 will be set by the highest drivers in the 2013 owners points standings if not already in the race. Position 43 is granted to a past Sprint Cup Series champion not already in the race. If there is no former Sprint Cup Series champion the spot will be awarded to the driver whose team was highest in the owners points in 2013.

There was a big wreck on the last lap of the second Duel race (Jimmie Johnson's car ran out of gas which set off a chain reaction collision) causing some drivers to have to use back-up cars in Sunday's Daytona 500. Those particular drivers have to start in the back. So here's how the grid looks thus far. There may be other changes once the cars are evaluated. LINK

I couldn't watch the 125's. Was Truex the only one who will use a backup car after tonight's wrecks?
Posted on 2/20/14 at 11:26 pm to Chili Dawg
It's not clear to me at this point. Truex will have to run a back-up for sure and go to the back. They're still doing damage assessments on some of the others based on what I read so it may be Friday before it all gets sorted out.

Robot McJohnson ran out of gas on last turn and wrecked half the field.....so I'm sure there will be lots of back-up cars. Not sure some of those new teams even have one though....
All I know for sure though is that I saw Clint Bowyer do a full upside-down barrel-roll......stick the landing on all 4 wheels........and then withoug stopping just drove over to his pit and casually got out and started giving interviews.
shite was hilarious.
