Surprising move. Were they not doing well?

Nah they are doing fine. Next time I see the GM I'll ask him why if you'd like.

nah, they just finally realized its dumb to not sell the hard stuff since that caused so many fools to bring their own.

hopefully this will help ease some of the crowd getting into the Dry Bean when I want to take my pregame shots.

For about 8 or 9 years starting when I was 21, I went to Duddley's a few nights a week. Something about the place changed when they started serving liquor. I can't really put it into words.

I am not a fan of this.

I like places that are unique for one reason or another, even if that uniquness is a PITA sometimes.

For instance - I do not approve of all the road-paving going on in the Mal Pais / Santa Teresa area of Costa Rica. Leave 'em bad - it adds character.

I liked the quirkyness of the fact that you couldn't buy booze in the Chicken but booze is ALL you could buy next door at the Bean.

Sorry, but I never went in the chicken because they were shitty beer only. What kind of a joint doesn't offer a man a decent whiskey?

Agreed, but I appreciate RC's point since I live in the dry bean when I go to NG. If it thins out the crowd at the dry bean I'm all for it.

I was never a fan of dry bean. The bouncers always seemed like dicks. I didn't spend enough time at the chicken at night to realize it didn't serve liquor. I always had beer there.

The Dixie Chicken was never a favorite of mine. Hell, I didn't step foot into the Chicken until my junior year.

I used to avoid the place like the plague and the fact that they didn't sell liquor was a contributing factor.

Ran into a few dick bouncers at Dry Bean. One night I was the DD for my group of friends and we decided to go there.

We are about 20 feet from the door when this drunk girl runs into me and almost makes me fall over. We get to the door and the bouncer says we can't go in because I'm too drunk and stumbling.

Tried to explain what happened and that I was DD but he was having none of it. We said screw it and went to Mad Hatters.

I've been denied entry to the Chicken before and I wasn't even bad-off. I was about 27, so not even college-looking. Also went to Mad Hatters instead.

I quit going to the Chicken when they changed the sign on the back wall from $52 fine for fighting to $2500 fine for fighting
