So the huge advantage of the HUNH is that defensive coaches cannot analyze the plays coming at them and call correct counter plays for each lineup. Instead they have to depend on the player knowing what to do in a short period, which is a disadvantage. So why not protest and refuse to huddle?

Instead have all your offensive players wander in a cloud near your sideline. They stand around for 8 seconds, then in the last few seconds the ones run out that are going to be in that play and they run to the line and snap immediately?

Just because there has to be the forced 10 second gap between plays doesn't mean you have to let Nick pick your formation apart for 10 pre-snap seconds.

Just saying...

Because Saban wants to sub at will on D. That's what he is gunning for. He has complained in the past about it.

I don't think Saban realizes that this rule won't help him very much. His primary problem is scheme rather than players being tired. Auburn had no problems subbing against A&M.

You don't think this could have fit into one of the other 20 threads about this topic?

No it's not. What killed Alabama more than anything this year was a thin secondary, not scheme.

Sounds great. (Teams basically do that already by the way)

Exactly. Saban wants football to go back to being a game of chess because he is the best chess player alive. So instead of playing his game play checkers and let the training of the athletes and not the genius of the coach determine the winner.

At least you're admitting it wasn't substitution.

I am basically arguing for a higher level of deception about who you are substituting and what plays you are going to run than now. Heck maybe even sign kids up for acting lessons so they can do "fake out" subs (where a group stops at the very last minute to cause confusion).

Nick takes away one trick, create another. Keep bending the rules until he stops trying to dictate them.

I couldve swore we had the thinnest secondary... something about playing a QB at safety or something like that... though i could be mistaken...

No not really. I am here to discuss strategy, not which coaches are a bunch of pussies like the other 20 threads.

There are 5 threads alone just for strategy. Was your point really that unique? I'll answer for you: No.
