Very thin at safety, cornerbacks will be alright especially with two five star corners coming in but safety is in trouble.

QB's: Plenty of bodies but there isn't a big time QB on the roster and we have our hopes set on a transfer from FSU.

OL: In a couple of years it will be dominating with kids from this last recruiting class but this year I'm still skeptical of the starters based on last year.

Other than that we are loaded three deep with blue-chip talent across the board.

Probably the greatest challenge of any HC is maintaining quality depth at every position. Just because you have a top 10 or even top 5 recruiting class, doesn't necessarily mean you solved the above equation. However, Bama has won 3 out of the last 5 NC's so clearly Saban is solving it better than most.

sounds like an opportune time for saban to beg the ncaa to manipulate rules to help his team a little.

There will be quite a few of us with QB question marks. It will be an interesting year for the newbie QB's.

OSU has not recruited quite as well as Bama, but 3 top 5 classes in a row. They have lost 12 LBers to trasnfers/injuries since 2009, the latest being a 5* stud who went back home because his dad is ill (well wishes)

Just one of those oddities where you can almost never be strong everywhere at once

everyone has holes... it will usually come down to matchups -- can anyone on OSU's schedule exploit poor LB play?

Last year, A&M was able to get some favorable matchups against Bama's secondary... same for Auburn, who really pushed around a somewhat average (by bama standards anyway) DL.

It took 8 games, but I was just waiting for it. Iowa MSU and Michigan all did a great job of it at times.

It is part of the fun, is exploiting advantages and trying to cover up the holes

The only hole bama has is the extreme size of their lineman and linebackers, wich make it impossible for them to keep up with fast paced teams.

Little saban is working on changing the rules to solve that problem.

I really think it is a bit difficult to trash talk a team that has a 3 game winning streak on us, don't you?

Hell, their streak is way bigger against my team and I have no problem talking trash about them.,

Every dominant run has to end eventually. I don't think it's that time for Alabama, but it seems to be coming in the next few years. And by end, I don't mean Alabama completely dropping off the face of the planet...just mean them coming back to reality with the other 95% of the college football world.
