Unprecedented student enrollment and transformational campus construction reflect growth in the state's flagship campus in recent years. It came about because The University of Arkansas is routinely recognized nationally as a best value, balancing excellence and expense. We've worked hard to earn our place as one of U.S. News & World Report’s Top 10 “Up and Coming” universities. Let us share our great news with you through this new publication, Transforming the Flagship, which catalogs the tremendous success and progress of the University of Arkansas in recent years.

That's the one. Didn't mean to hijack your thread.

We need a Flagship Transformer that turns from a Razorback into an aircraft carrier.

It won't be long until Tusk is wheeled out in a cage shaped like a ship and a cannon is fired every score

We used to do the cannon thing until they bowled in the south endzone.

That pdf states their endowment goal is 2.1 Billion by 2021. That's 7 years.

They must know of some big Walton funds coming or something. That would be a really respectable endowment.

We'd only be behind TAMU and Vandy in the SEC if other schools don't grow at a similar rate.

I would love it, but wouldn't be hugely surprised, if the Walton Foundation makes another big flashy donation sometime in the next few years. A Billion or so would make headlines. Hell, I'll settle for $500 million. I'm realistic.

The other biggest thing that jumps out at me is this one. This is great, but considering the recession and devaluation most funds have seen, as well as cuts in state funding, this is phenomenal:

quote:

In 2008, university reserves were approximately $2 million. The University of Arkansas began fiscal year 2014 with reserves of $50 million.

How dey do dat?

Yeah there's no way 2.1 billion is happening without some big time donations.

Exactly, they must have some stuff in the works, otherwise why publish it? Otherwise it seems like an impossible goal.

Perusing that pdf I posted, our "reserve fund" is as big as Arkansas State's endowment. :howlyes:

Also, UA-Fort Smith has a larger endowment than Arkansas State.
