So, is it true Bama gave Roc Thomas the stiffarm waiting on LF?

We know they had Burton Burks calling Leonard Fournette all the way up until his signing ceremony.
Is it true Roc wanted to be a minion of Li'l Hitler, but never got that loving feeling?

Coach Burns wanted LF. From what I understand, he's rarely that vocal in the RBs that Alabama pursue. As a fan, I would rather take the talented instate kid. He was a lifelong fan that would have committed early on if he had been the priority.

Sounds like he tried to commit to Bama a couple of times, but got slow played while Bama waited on LF.

Four-star running back Roc Thomas tried to commit in the fall of 2012 and on a Junior Day last January to Alabama. Alabama was still waiting on Leonard Fournette so they couldn’t take that pledge. And they had Bo Scarbrough committed and four backs that hadn’t yet signed in the 2013 class. After his second attempt, Thomas went underground hoping for an offer. Eventually he pulled the trigger for Auburn. Alabama tried to go back in late with Lane Kiffin. No luck.

Auburn fans will never admit it because, on the outside, it appears they out-recruited Bama for the kid, but in reality, Bama out-recruited themselves. I think they really didn't need a back in this class and were only going to take Fournette or Roc if he could be flipped late in the game.

And how exactly do you know this to be the gospel?

Yes. Bama already had Bo Scarborough committed as well. He's rated higher than Thomas, albeit as an athlete, but he projects at RB for us.
Roc is still a beast. The numbers just didn't work out for him at Bama.

RB just wasn't a huge need. Bo can play RB and we have several young RBs on campus now.

Probably is true. Don't care though. We get Roc. They don't.

It was in a big article that 247 released today about 2014 recruiting behind the scenes. Lots of good info like that tidbit in it.

Cant complain about our class this year but still wish we landed Roc. Im really looking forward to Bo though so we'll be fine but Roc's highlight film looks filthy.

Shouldn't have wasted so much time on a kid who was never going to Bama.

Up until 11 o'clock yesterday everyone thought Rashaan Evans was going to Auburn.
You never know what an 18 year old kid is gonna do.
