We have the highest paid and most recognized staff in modern Arkansas history. More kids are being rated every day diluting the *3 pool. We had a $41 million dollar facility to show off and we ended up with..

..Houston Nutt style recruiting.

Arkansas (3), MSU, SC and Missouri have all been to the SEC title with offensive heavy teams and medicare defenses yet all came away empty handed. I think our defensive recruiting is subpar not to mention the timing of the hire and the title bump for Shannon is laughable to me.

I understand the 2015 classed is currently ranked #7 in the country with lots of upside however they better win some games this next year and pull in a good recruiting class. I do not mind laying a foundation for the future but defensive struggles continue to play the Arkansas program regardless of the coach.

I will give credit to Coach B for filling needed holes, certain offensive positions, but looking at Hawgeye's posts of the past two classes screams mediocre defensive.

Both Tennessee and Arkansas had little in-state talent to pull from yet Tennessee got it done.

We are paying high-dollar for results and I am not impressed while our neighbor with the same money and issues is getting results in recruiting.

Tennessee has considerable more instate talent than Arkansas.

This year for example:

Tennessee:

Composite 4* - 7
Composite 3* - 29

Arkansas:

Composite 4* - 2
Composite 3* - 12

So go find some other team to pull for. I promise you, this is the norm and not the exception for the next few years.

9 kids signed with Tennessee from in-state.

5 kids signed with Arkansas from in-state.

The map is your friend.

We filled needs. We added quality depth and then some to the o-line. We added a red zone receiver, a quality posession receiver and a true slot receiver, all with great hands. We got a good fricking QB. And we added a lot of athleticism to the back 7. Are they raw? Yes but with good coaching and development (what this staff is all about) then it'll be legit. It's not a class that will win us a championship tomorrow but it's one I think we'll be very happy that we have in 3-4 years.

5 of those were 4*'s which is more than twice what we even had to choose from in our state. If we signed 5 instate 4*'s to go with our out of state 4*'s then we would easily have a top 15-20 class right now as well.

Throw in their relatively short drive to Atlanta and it easy to see why they have always out recruited us.

You're predetermining all these *4 will pan out. I'm stating the fact they only signed 9 kids from inside of their state regardless of the ranking system. While we signed 5.

They still gotta go out of state in recruiting and are close to Georgia and the Carolina's as we are close to Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas too.

Everyone better hope Coach B's staff is as good as advertised because as the rankings show Petrino, Nutt and Coach B are all playing/have played with the same talent level at Arkansas for over a decade.

Right. Because having 4 OL and 3 LBs is the same as having 7 receivers.

When was the last time a team of 85 that didn't have at least one top 15 class win the SEC?

Arkansas (3), MSU (1), SC (1), Missouri (1) all haven't gotten it down yet. It's just math.

Lies, Damn Lies and Statistics.

Arkansas has NEVER won the SEC West when it had a recruiting class ranked higher than 15th.

It has won the SEC West 3 times with classes ranked lower.
