Please dont take this as a troll, I just dont know too much about the kid. Freeze is a pretty damn good recruiter. How was LSU able to pull the best player in Mississippi so early and he not have any intention of flipping during the process? Again no troll intended i know this is the recruitment board.

Because he barely lives in MS and is an LSU fan.

Because he grew up an LSU fan? He's not the best player in Mississippi either. He's not even the best safety.

His mom works at Angola prison in LA if I remember correctly. Voorhies is a tremendous athlete and football player.

I think he's better offensively but he's extremely talented no doubt. He just was never really interested in us.

We were focused on Hampton at safety who we like more. Devin is not the top player in they state. Probably top 5 though.

He could be just as good as C.J. Hampton had he only stayed on defense. He is one of the best ATH in the State no doubt. He won Mississippi player of the year they do not give that to just ok players. I think he plays WR at LSU.

I don't think he plays run support or hits as hard as CJ although I think he's better in coverage. I didn't say he was just okay I think he's top 5 but the two best players in MS played for Callaway.

We picked up the top 4 guys from MS if you're going by recruiting rankings. I would of liked to add Voorhies as a wideout though. Dude is crazy athletic

I can careless what he was ranked in the state. First Team Parade All American speaks for its self. Kid is a stud any school in America would take him, glad its us.

I agree with what's been said about him. He's in the top three-five range but Taylor and Speaks are 1-2 respectively and Hampton is likely No. 3. We were never in the game for him and he never hinted at any interest in a flip anywhere. A good get for y'all, should fit in well on either side.

One interesting note about Mississippi recruiting is the fact that two players (Tito Windham to Oklahoma and Ethan Firth to FSU) went to top-flight programs yet were buried down the state rankings. We didnt offer either, not sure if State did or not.

He was Gatorade player of the year in ms. He had over 2000 yards of offense. Runs under a 10.5 100 meters at 6'2 200 pounds and every expert that covered the ms vs Alabama all star game said he was the best safety in attendance.

Lol did you watch that game? That was the first time that I've ever seen him play and was very unimpressed with him at safety.
