Bama: Do you have 15 NC trophies? Do players receive retroactive rings?

Since Auburn is considering jumping into the made up championship ring and apparently so is Mizzou, could you guys explain the proper etiquette to us. Did you buy your own trophies? Print your own shirts? Does the trophy say "1925 Football Annual National Championship" What is the best way to approach this?

For starters, I recommend getting some rope and a chair.

If we have them they were awarded to us by the selector. I can't remember if we have any pre-AP/UPI. We do have the Rose Bowl trophies and that's pretty much the de faco NC trophy

Yeah, not that it matters, but we're getting our past players rings for the 121 National Championships.

You dont know much about history do you? Yeah that 1925 team has a Rose Bowl Champion trophy. How many of those does Auburn have again?

Is a rose bowl trophy displayed alongside a liberty bowl trophy?

1. Stop being a pathetic hypocrite. Claim it or don't claim it, but you don't get to do it and criticize others at the same time.
2. We claim titles that were awarded to us. You'll have to create your own roadmap for inventing shirts and rings, we don't know anything about that.

Take a trip to the Bryant Museum. You'll find them, and how they're displayed.

Many were awarded after the fact. Retro MNC. No trophies.
If Bama had not claimed 1941, they would have the ability to judge others even though 5 were added when Perkins was the coach.
Ole miss claims 3 MNC and none were by polls
TAMU added two prior to joining the conference.
UGA just went from 2 to 5.

Well la de da. I'm pretty sure the 1983 title is recognized by the NCAA so I really fault Auburn for waiting so long to claim it.

I can see claiming 1983. I wouldn't do it, because Miami won the major polls. You didn't.
But 1983 auburn is a better claim than 1941 Bama. I really wish we'd drop that one.
