I'm biased so I'd give it to Mickey.

Julius Randle still has a strong case for it. With James Young not far behind.

Fair enough. Mickey and JOB owned him. Just one game though.

This is the key with that. Randle decided to apologize to the team after the game because of his lack of effort. Their next match up should be fun to watch.

I personally think it is James Young though.

Yeah, Mickey is really playing well though.

One weird thing, I was just looking at their draft profiles and realized Stokes is only a few months older than Mickey.

This. Although every time I watch Kentucky, I come away impressed with James Young.

Young seems to hit a ton of 3s. But I think he takes a boatload. His % isn't spectacular, just decent.

Randle if it ended today. If Mickey keeps playing like he has been these past two games then he will win it

Yeah looking at his stats he's not terribly efficient. Just seems like he can get his own shot and score. He kept UK from getting blown out by LSU. Still, I don't think he's a serious contender for SEC freshmen of the year right now.

His percentage isn't terrible and when he gets hot he gets very hot.

I think Arkansas is the only SEC team that hasn't played a zone against Kentucky, so James Young because their zone buster because he is their best shooter. The only guy with a bigger "green light" in the SEC is probably Marshall Henderson.

What separates James Young from the rest is he is probably the best defender on Kentucky's roster and he also does a lot of the little things right.

Randle gets the hype, James Young is the most important player on Kentucky every time I watch them play.

Might as well give it to Young. It wouldn't be the first time a wildcat's season ended in February and he got a full season conference honor.

Id say Young is first with Randle and Mickey not far behind. But Mickey has been a fricking beast the last couple games.
