Yeah that's part of it too. We're pretty good at home(although we just had a pretty inexcusable loss to Vandy. Just awful on the road...I'll never know how we beat MiZzou and that could keep them out of the tourament. We were missing our best player for UK and Vandy but he came back and we still lost to Auburn.

We suck? Going into the year I said I'd be surprised if we won more than 10 games. We just simply aren't very good. The team played their asses off for our coach who just lost his dad for the missouri game, then we beat a bland bama team at home where we're somewhat alright, beat an arkansas team at home who is awful on teh road, and beat by far the worst team in the league. The 4-1 start was surprising, but not impressive.

The UGA you're seeing now is who we really are.

You're half right there. and there is a reason.

You're wrong in that it's on both...from my understanding the AD has basically told the staff that they can't really "play the game" which is necessary to recruit AAU. Fox isn't stupid, he knows if he wants to win big it has to go through the AAU teams. It's not like he is oblivious to that fact, it's that his hands are tied.

And there IS a reason why, and it's Jim Harrick. Not sure if you were paying much attention then (that's not an insult..I don't know how old you are so it's quite possible that you legitimately don't realize how big a deal it was), but that wasn't just the SEC getting a chuckle at UGA. That was a major, massive, nationwide ordeal that stretched on for WEEKS. UGA was the lead on ESPN constantly, and not in a good way. Then the way it ended was just...extremely not good for UGA PR wise.

That's the only reason we hired Felton because he was a no-nonsense disciplinarian so we could at least try to save a little face by saying we're making the proper changes. He sucked, obviously. Well, now that's behind us, but the administration still doesn't want to test the waters again ESPECIALLY with the basketball program again. Same reason we won't even consider hiring bruce pearl, even though it'd be a grand slam hire.

we just started ramping up the zone D against UK and Arky these last 2 games and we steamrolled both of them early to cruise to victory
