I legitly don't understand those defending CMA. Now I love the hogs. Hell I post on here. All of us are supreme hog fans. I want to see us succeed. But I do not understand the bright spots y'all are seeing or I do not understand the optimism going forward.

I cocked off like a mofo on all my accounts about the CMA hire. Don't get me wrong, I love the guy. I'd love to have a beer with him, he seems like a real badass. But this is business

I live in NWA but I love the delta. I listen to my friends that say Adele is an amazing artist yet I have Johnny Cash CDs in my car. I voted for Obama but I listen to my gun toting, pro life, birth certificate crazed coworkers. I want to hear the opposition's best defense of CMA. Please, someone, help a fellow Arkansan out and explain the positives y'all see. Because no matter how hard I try, I just see more of the same ahead.

Well Wagner is on the team for GPA under my understanding. Every team has that guy

I feel like we are more than 3 bench players from being competitive

I believe that MA has been handcuffed on some scholarship management things that have slowed down our rebuild due to pelfrey. Minimum 1 more year but will probably get 2 unless he turns it around then he could be coach until such time as he starts losing consistently again, goes batshit insane, or our fanbase meltsdown for some other reason unpredictable due to the nature of razorback offseasons.

Does anyone see Mike winning on the road this year?

Next year?

Eta: pretty sure we have won 4 road games in my 4 years at UA. If there was a primary requirement to this job, road wins would be it

Gulley? Haydar? Non scholarship players anywhere else....

Scott, Wade leftover and terrible.

That's 5 players on a 13 player roster.

Do you mind expounding on that comment? In relation to how Mike is worth a shite going forward, as stated in the OP, of course?

I just didn't see us being very good going into this season. Our player with the most potential (Portis) is a freshman. We have some decent athletes at SF, but no real leader or point guard on the court.

That's a big part of why we've struggled so much to capitalize on transition opportunities, which is obviously very important with this style of basketball.

You can blame Mike for some of the lack of talent, but he has had APR issues to deal with, along with our two best players leaving early last year.

I'm not going a political route on a sports forum.

But it is quite telling.

Mikes on pace to have a better first 4 years than Obama, yet you voted for O and are melting down about Mike

Furthermore, I believe that Mike is a good coach and will get things going. His record at UAB and Mizzou speak for themselves. It's only a matter of time. Making another coaching change right now will only put us back to square one.

As I said, care to connect your initial response to CMA?

Or else I will assume your response is irrelevant

Explains the concern about how much Mike is paid.

And why he thinks he should have certain results while he is on campus.

Entitlement Generation.

Yep. Entitled to what we paid for

Dumbfricks. Why would anyone ever expect that?
