I've no idea how to follow coaches for basketball and who will be likely or if we go get another Pel type hire.

I agree with Ham, lets go get a HS coach and pay him $200k and pump the money savings into track.

Me

Or you

Or anyone. Its not like the current team is actually improving. Any of us could match CMAs output

Didn't Hugh Freeze coach girls basketball a few years ago? Perfect fit for our current players and he'd have that "Memphis" pipeline everyone has been looking for. Think about it.

Just a little above high school, but I think this guy has a very bright future.

If he didn't want the job 3 years ago, why would he want it now?

He wouldn't even interview 3 years ago. You all want to fire a proven coach, but actually think some amazing coach would come here. We would most likely go the Mississippi St. rout and have to hire an assistant coach like Rick Ray, then pray we don't lose to Coastal Carolina and Texas St- Arlington at home.

I don't recommend firing, I was under the impression the 5 year deal with be up in 2 years and not renewed. Someone "close" to the situation is always on about Gregg Marshall so I thought I'd ask.

He has been turning down power conference programs since he landed at Wichita St.

It probably has to do with WSU being a non football school and his ability to take guys there that would not qualify for any major conference team.

I don't think MA should be fired. I think he should shake up his coaching staff a bit.

The better question is Who should replace who?

The only thing more laughable in some of the names that were thrown out during the Dline opening or the wants for HC would be the same people drawing names from a pool of over 1,000 assistant coaches on the D1 level.

Y'all are losing me now--are we talking basketball or football or both? Either way I sometimes think coaching changes, whether it is at the top or at the assistant level, seem to get made in hopes that any change is for the better because things can't get any worse. While the change may make fans feel better, at least in the short run, whether it ends up being the best thing for the program in the long run is another story.

I'm all for change if it is based on a solid rationale but tinkering for the sake of tinkering doesn't seem that sound to me.
