Both Alabama and LSU were softer, less physical teams in 2013 than they were 08-12.

Yeah sort of. We didn't really have a hard hitter on D. Collins if he had a lot of momentum because he's fast as frick would lay the wood, but not like, say, Mark Barron did.

Then Ivory/Lake were soft as frick for Nose Guards. No excuse for the type of play they had from the Nose.

On O it's amazing that TJ, Drake, and Henry all ran well, because for the most part they did it themselves, the OL wasn't any help other than a couple of games.

They werent that bad. We really didnt give up a lot of rushing yards in the middle all year, sans the AU game. Sure, they werent as good as Williams, Chapman, or Cody, but lets not act like they were terrible.

True. NG was a major problem this year. It put is in 3rd and 5 or less way too often. Combine that with the lack of pass rush and weak corners and the good teams could pick us apart.

LOL I guess Auburn students are unable to tell the difference between excuses and causes.

We would print the shirts for Auburn that say: Dumbest Fanbase but nobody needs shirts to know that.

True but it wasn't a massive difference. Both were still great Defenses.

LSU's defense in '08 wasn't all that. That was the year before the Chief.

We gave up the most yards ever in a single game by an Alabama D, then got run the frick over in the Iron Bowl, and passed the frick over by Big-Game Bob.

Hell yes we were softer.

Bama 2013 D was very solid. Look at the numbers!! LSU dropped off noticeably.
