Part of the tradition is for the SGA president from the school that lost the football game to show up at that basketball game to present the Foy-ODK Sportsmanship Trophy to the other side - and to sing the other side's fight song.

It's all good fun in the name of, as the trophy says, sportsmanship.

Alabama's SGA president spit in the face of that tradition Thursday night by declining to make the trip to Auburn or to send a representative in his place. Bad weather left over from Tuesday's surprise snowstorm was cited as the reason, which might've made sense if the Alabama basketball team itself hadn't bused to Auburn on Thursday.

SGA is worthless. So is Scarbinsky, but he's right in this instance.

Didn't the Auburn SGA president sing the wrong words? "Ever to yield"...

SGA has been worthless since the Tide for Toomers debacle.

It is, and I would be pissed if the Auburn SGA president did it. It's tradition, it hopefully shows a more civilized side to the rivalry, and this douche just ignored it.

That's a dick move. Were the roads even still bad by then? I thought everything had cleared up.

Why? Roads were open, not like he would have to drive on secondary two lane county roads to get there, he could have driven interstate the whole way. It was a convenient excuse to get out of doing something SGA presidents from both schools have been doing for over 40 years.
