Markell Boston visited Alabama this past week and plans to visit State this week. He is currently committed to ECU, but looks like he will get an Alabama offer later this week. 24/7's CEO, Shannon Terry and one of Alabama's writers have Crystal Balled him to Alabama.

What's the story on this guy?

Your typical athletic DB, likely on the next level down from the elite and surefire prospects, similar to the guy UGA just picked up. Bama though needs to replenish its defensive backfield as UGA definitely needs to sign at least 2 safeties considering where it will be after next year.

Why did it take him so long to get serious looks?

I don't know anything about Boston's specific case, but a lot of times it has to do with grades. Maybe he recently got a good test score or something like that

Bama will offer later this week if we feel we have a spot available. With OJ Smith looking elsewhere that seems to be likely. I think this is our backup plan to hampton.

I love the kid's film. He's only played safety for one year. Before that he was a WR. Great prospect. Reminds me of the way Eddie Jackson flew under the radar last year.

We may very well be after him too
