Don't disagree with the order of the SEC teams. I think LSU, South Carolina and MSU are all interchangeable and Vandy is a very close fourth.

Fullerton, IMO is the best team in the country. They were last year as well, but baseball is funny like that. Virginia is talented, but #1?

Indiana was a one hit wonder and the ACC teams are solid but should not be ranked higher than any SEC team. If USC, MSU and LSU were 3-4-5 or even 4-5-6, I wouldn't see much problem with it. But too low here.

This was my thought. I have no idea what their roster looks like. Maybe they return a great deal from last year's CWS team but I really doubt suddenly they're the 5th best team in the country after 1 CWS appearance. They played no one in their regional and did beat FSU @FSU in the Supers, which normally would be impressive if one didn't know how badly FSU chokes in the post season.

Virginia is a legit top 5 team, returning everything from last year. I'm not sure about number 1 though.

This season feels a lot like '09 to me.

I love being unranked or low top #25 to start the season, that means we're young and DVH seems to coach better with young kids and lower expectations (in my completely unprofessional opinion).

If this holds or improves all year, I bet baseball becomes a much more important sport on the SECr...

Anyone want to tabulate our record against #1, #2, and #3 last postseason for me?

Like Virginia #1 and Oregon St #2 -- and like Fullerton being ranked highly.

My question is -- what has Carolina done to deserve being ranked ahead of LSU and us?

IMO SEC tiers should be:
MSU LSU Vandy
Carolina Florida
Bama aTm Arky OM Kentucky and IMO Tennessee sneaks onto this tier as well

Seems right. USC lost a great Closer and Power Hitter, but we've recruited on an Elite level the past few years so we should be alright.
