Gamecocks are now up to 44% in the crystal ball predictions for PJ Dozier.

Perry Dozier Sr. told Inside the Ville that his son Perry Dozier Jr. is down to three schools following the conclusion of his official visits. Dozier Sr. declined to say which three schools his son felt strongly about.
“PJ has three (programs) he’s feeling real strong about,” said Dozier to Inside The Ville. “The other two contender are great schools but he feels better about the other three. You can say he’s down to three schools. That’s definitely accurate.”
Dozier Sr. also said his decision will ultimately come down to whether or not PJ wants to stay close to home or go further away for school, giving the impression the hometown Gamecocks are definitely one of the three teams in the mix. North Carolina had long thought to have been the favorite to land Dozier, but South Carolina has been trending very well as of late.
Dozier is ranked as the No. 26 prospect in the 247Sports Composite rankings. Dozier Sr. hopes he will have made his decision by next weekend.

South Carolina extended a new offer to class of 2017 small forward Daniel Mading (Gainesville, Fla./Rock). Mading is a very long, athletic prospect who recently came to the states from Australia. You can view his latest mixtape here. Mading claims offers from several other high major schools including LSU, Kansas State, Arizona State, Nebraska and Southern Cal.

One of South Carolina's top basketball targets, Perry Dozier Jr. (Columbia/Spring Valley), is hoping to make his decision this weekend and will announce his decision the first day of the fall signing period, which is next Wednesday. His father and high school coach, Perry Dozier Sr., told 247Sports' Mike Hughes of InsideTheVille that PJ wants to make his announcement at Spring Valley high school and they are attempting to set up arrangements so that the announcement can be aired on ESPNU.

Yep, looking like UofL is the leader now after his visit up there. Frank Martin will be visiting Dozier tomorrow for a final visit before he announces next week.

#STRecruiting: Update on Tevin Mack
6-5 Tevin Mack of Dreher remains undecided as of Friday night according to his mother. All five schools...USC, Clemson, Connecticut, VCU and Georgia remain alive. Mack is hoping to have a decision Tuesday or Wednesday. He and his mother will visit USC on Saturday following the Gamecocks' practice. That will be his final meeting with Frank Martin. His mother said he has not indicated a favorite.
Sounds like we'll get the final decisions from both Dozier and Mack around the same time. I wonder if one is waiting to see what the other chooses...

Dozier down to 2, although we don't know which 2:
Also some Tevin Mack notes:
quote:
According to his father and coach Perry Dozier, PJ Dozier is down to two schools and is pretty sure about which school he will choose.
PJ Dozier will make his announcement at Spring Valley on Wednesday around 12:15 PM.
Also some Tevin Mack notes:
quote:
Tevin does plan to make his announcement sometime Tuesday and will sign during a ceremony at Dreher at noon on Wednesday.

For Dozier, the thoughts are that Louisville & South Carolina are his final 2. No confirmation, just the vibe the experts are getting.

Perry Dozier Jr. (Columbia/Spring Valley) will announce on ESPNU at 12:30 live from Spring Valley on ESPNU. He confirmed Sunday night that he is down to two schools and the consensus is that Louisville and South Carolina are those two schools. ... this will come down to whether or not PJ wants to stay closer to home and build a program into a potential contender or go further away and be a piece that puts Louisville squarely in the hunt for a national title.
But with the fact that Martin was able to get the last word in and the allure of being able to stay close to his family, something that we have repeatedly reported is a factor with Dozier, I (Chris Hillyard) think the Gamecocks are able to pull it out in the end.
quote:
The other major announcement South Carolina is waiting on will come a day earlier as Tevin Mack (Columbia/Dreher) will announce sometime on Tuesday and then will sign at a ceremony at his school on Wednesday. ... The word after UCONN lost out on one of their other targets was that they would put the full-court press on Mack. But we have continued to hear good things about VCU as well. VCU likely gives Mack the best opportunity to play early, something he has repeatedly said is very important to him.
As is the case with Dozier, we know the Gamecocks are firmly in the thick of things but Mack choosing UCONN or VCU wouldn't surprise me either.

It's critical we get one of these guys. It'd be monumental if we can get both

Another thing I just saw about Tevin Mack, Phil Kornblut of SportsTalkSC is reporting this:
Interesting, maybe the visit with the coaching staff had a huge impact on him over the weekend.

6-5 Tevin Mack of Dreher said Monday night he's not 100% sure on a decision and may not be ready to announce on Tuesday. He's deciding between Clemson, USC, Georgia, VCU and Connecticut.

Scratch that, Chris Hillyard on 247 reporting this:

Mack's coach confirms no plans for an announcement. Doesn't sound like this is happening today folks, but we will stay on top of it.

Mack pushing his decision back has got to be a good thing for us right?
Could he be waiting to see what Dozier does?

That could be an angle for sure, but I think that no one really knows where he is gonna sign until he does. And it looks like he doesn't either
