I agree, but I also heard that Mack may not want to go to the same school as Dozier. They play different positions, but are the same size. Although if that rumor is false, which I hope it is, then we could have the shot at the best class we've had in....I don't know how long. That 13 class was pretty good though.
After this season (and in a world where star ratings matter) we would have:
5* -G- Dozier (Fr)
5* -G- Thornwell (Jr)
4* -G- Blanton (Soph)
4* -PG- Stroman (Soph)
4* - PF- Henry (Jr)
4* -PF - Silva (Fr)
and potentially throw in 4* G Mack.
Then with Notice, Chet and Cerrera, we'll have some upper classmen leadership. I'm getting really f**king excited about the '15 season, let's hope we keep moving forward as a program.
The '15 squad would be the most talented group on the court we've had since pre-Odom.

The '69, '70, '71 and '72 classes were pretty darn good.

Rick Aydlette
John Ribbock
Casey Manning
Danny Traylor
Bobby Carver
Kevin Joyce
Brian Winters
Mike Dunleavy
... and the list goes on and on. I've forgotten about a dozen or more big-time recruits in those four classes.
Those were incredible classes back in those days. And believe it or not, we knew a lot about recruiting in those days. We followed it closely, football, basketball and baseball.

With the addition of PJ Dozier the Gamecocks moved all the way up to 25th in the Nation in the 247 Composite Team Rankings. 4th best in the SEC.
If we land Mack, we will move all the way up to 8th in the nation according to the 247 Class Calculator, which would be 3rd best in the SEC.

If you're going by 247Sports (they are the ones who have Dozier as a 5*), then they also rated Thornwell a 5* (both their rating and composite), and they have Blanton as a composite 4*. The talent is slowly but surely on the rise in the program. Hopefully the on-court success follows closely behind....

That would make sense, we got in on him really late, VCU has been on him for months before us. UConn didn't offer until after we did, but they are the National Champs and can do what they want.
Hopefully some guys have gotten in his ear about building the future of SC Basketball, but we'll see what happens.
