I know there are a couple of former AU players coaching in the SEC (Robinson and Brumbaugh)...but I don't think either of those guys ever coached @AU

Coaching is a profession. Those guys are gypsys who move a lot and suffer low salaries and hard work at all hours until they get to the top levels. Like all of us, they will take a different job if it means more money for their families.
Alums and students love their schools. I will ALWAYS love Auburn. However, I dont coach for a living. if I lost my asst coaching job because the HC got canned, I would take the best available alternative. Especially if it was in the SEC. I dont blame Rocker here. he isnt a player. he is a coach.
Tavaris Robinson is at Florida. He's another promising AU grad coach. D. Craig was at FSU. Never blamed him for being there.

Pat washington was at Tennessee for a long time. Helped recruit Tee Martin as I recall.
