Question for A&M fans

I'm sure this is beating a dead horse but I missed the discussion so here it goes: how do y'all justify claiming big 12 titles in 1997 and 2010? What's the logic behind it or is it just a big F you to your old conference?

In 2010 we did tie for the big 12 south, including a win over Oklahoma, who represented the South in the Big 12 title game.

Well in 1997 y'all made it to the big 12 title game as champion of the south, so it makes sense you could claim a big 12 south title
