And oh look, another Auburn fan in a Bielema thread. What is it with you guys?

It's on the main board and someone making the case for BB. Do you struggle with that concept? If so feel free to stay on the Arky board. Stop being a pussy.

He's proven he can succeed through power running and bruising defense. This model will always be successful in football. If he can get his guys in there, Arkansas will be a consistently good team.

Completely agree. The running game came together very nicely last year and our recruiting on the OL is better than ever. If we can just find a solid QB amongst our options then our offense is going to be just fine.

His time here is going to come completely down to the back seven. If he can fix that mess then he will be here for the long term.

I think he's a good coach and good recruiter.

He's not great at either, but he definitely has a style and that style will consistently win games in the SEC once he has his players.

He likes giant OLs and a power run game behind them. This year he is recruiting the right people for that system and I think in 2 years he will be competitive with every single SEC team.

At the time I thought it was a good hire and I still do today.

Just give him time. That program was in shambles after Petrino and Smith.

Yes, you have picked up some nice OL talent, some premiere RB's, a very good TE. Need some good WR's, a competent QB and your offense will be stout. Your defensive side needs help at LB and DB's. Which is what I think you are suggesting as well.

I am telling you now the SEC West will be the strongest grouping of football teams in college football. It already really is and will be a horror to play through each season.

Thats all BB's offense needs. He can have a less than mediocre QB and a couple decent WRs and be set.

Defensively they need more speed though.

To have a decently capable offense, that is.

The problem with BB is that there is no margin beyond talent or development. I think BB will work at Arkansas, I just don't think it'll be at the conference title level as he was in the Big 10. You'll simply be outgunned too often, and unlike Auburn or Petrino-era Arky, you're unlikely to have explosiveness or creativity to cover that potential gap.

The defensive personnel needs are apparent, but it would also be great to have a scheme in place for more than a year at a time.

2015 is the make or break point for BB... if he's not showing significant improvement across the board after 3 years, it just wasn't a good fit... sometimes good coaches and good programs don't mesh.

Bielema is also still a young coach, he's only 43. Freeze and Malzahn are older than he is.

He'll adjust to the new competition level and only get better.

Not really, Swanson was an elite center but the rest of the line was pretty meh. We started two true freshmen on the OL in a lot of games.

Collins and Henry were both true freshmen as well.

70 points hung on a Bo Pelini Nebraska defense in 2012 and halfback passes this year not explosive or creative enough for you?

You're just doing what everyone else does and assumes BB runs a three yards and a cloud of dust offense. When in reality it's balanced, explosive, and creative. We had numerous receivers open and dropped passes this year that could have went for big gains but our talent at QB and WR was lacking. Our problems this past season wasn't play calling it was talent.
