Same with LSU during the Trent years, you have to be careful becuase once that attitude sets in (i.e. LSU) it will take a tourney run to get rid of it.

Considering where Anthony Grant is based on pay compared to his fellow coaches a NCAA birth is expected.

He is like top 20 in the country in highest salary.

It's basketball in the SEC. And it's The American Way.

Ours is pretty bad until we start winning.

For example:
lost to K-state and then hosted #10 Oregon, no one comes..

Beat LSU and South Carolina last week.. Miss state game is a "sell out" this week..

ETA: "sell out" could change depending on how we play @vandy tonight

I know, I am just saying that attitude will stick around even after coach is gone unless the university does some major PR work and then idk. Trent destroyed the already frickle or bad LSU basketball following.

Shitty, shitty, shitty Arkansas teams still draw an average of 13-14k fans on the season.

If we could get a tourney team, we'd average around 16k.

A Swweet 16 type team (hell ranked, even) and we'd be right back at 19-20k per game. We lub bkb.

The only people enrolled at LSU who were there the last time LSU went to the tournament are grad students and 6th year seniors.

The Basketball team being good or a thing worth doing hasn't been a part of the student experience for pretty much the entire student body at this point, so nobody even knows when the games are going on.

Even a good team every third year or so would lead to steady support I think. There were a lot more people in the student line for Vandy than I expected. That's a start.

LSU has a terrible fanbase when it comes to basketball. And I say terrible in the sense that when we play well, we show up to watch. When we don't, it's dwindled down to the hardcore fans which are sadly few and far between. We couldn't draw a decent crowd with money taped underneath each seat. Which other SEC schools are like this?

Well damn....another LSU fan that has surveyed all 50 states fanbases and knows for a fact that LSU fans suck in football and basketball. Judging by how many LSU fans like to come here and put down other LSU fans, you'd think we had the best fanbase ever because this is like the eleventy billionth post from somone putting down an LSU fan.
