Coach Richt doesn't have that option (and it's not his personality). If he did that, Coach Downs, or somebody like him, would take to the AJC and declare Creekside off limits for UGA coaches. Any coach who makes those kind of stupid comments is looking for a way to agitate against CMR.

If you're referring to me, you have totally misread my point.

Sorry, I was referring to Coach Downs' comments. He obviously has an axe to grind.

Don't know what he said, but it's got to be difficult as a recruiter to do your job with the player as well as juggle the egos of many of these HS coaches.

Coach Downs probably has a touch of Downs.

Reuben Foster was asked a few years back his opinion on why top in-state talent chooses to play elsewhere and he said something along the lines of "We've lived in GA all our lives and we wanna experience other stuff" basically. It's not crazy to think that some kids wanna get away and have some change of scenery

Except he only lived in Ga for 5 or so years

Well, Reuben was a special case. Apparently his entire family wanted to experience other stuff in Auburn Alabama. Oddly enough, after the NCAA started digging into that change of scenery, he later decided he wanted to experience other stuff in Tuscaloosa.
On a related note, I saw where Byron Cowart's mother (it was either him or Jefferson, can't remember), after visiting the loveliest village on the plains, said something to the effect that she could see herself living there. One of the Barn recruiting guru's quickly pointed out that she didn't actually say she was moving to Auburn.

It's not often Big Ben stands beside someone that he doesn't completely dwarf.
