Any updates on the status of Rico? Happy we're trending but the CB's still point Bama, makes me think ultimately Saban will threaten the kid and he'll stay rtr.

Lol Saban doesn't threaten recruits. He wouldn't get any if he did.

24/7 etc. have been very quiet today. 247 UGA insiders have had only 4 updates all day, it's been dead over there...

They apparently are recruiting him as a reciever now instead of cornerback.

His coach is a whiny little bitch.

That coach needs to frick off... Wonder what he thinks about CMR standing by his player Jason Stanley after his injury? Dude is a prick IMO...
quote:

After Jayson Stanley got the news about his season-ending knee injury, one of the first people he called was UGA coach Mark Richt. Stanley tore his ACL in Creekside’s opener last weekend.

quote:

“Kudos to the University of Georgia for embracing Jayson and our family. We are blown away by the love they have shown to us.”

Richt assured Stanley that UGA still wanted him just as badly, despite the injury. They didn’t really talk about whether or not the scholarship would be honored by UGA because Stanley knew that was part of the deal when he committed.

“Coach Rich said don’t worry about anything,” Yvette said. “They’re going to honor the scholarship, there’s no question about that. There has never been a question. He is a stand-up guy. We didn’t discuss it, and we didn’t have to. He had already told us if anything ever happened that Jayson was part of the Georgia family.”

While that article is true, it leaves out the top reason why kids are open to other programs from other states...alot of the kids aren't from Georgia. They feel no ties to this state..versus guys like Ben Cleveland, Ryne Rankin, and Trenton Thompson who are Georgia boys and dreamt of playing for UGA. LSU and OSU pull so many from their respective states because the kids are from those states where the transplant rate is low. Atlanta and Georgia are transplant-saturated so it makes it harder to close the borders to rival programs.

Also, we cherry pick top talent from other states with the best of them. Green, Gurley, Marshall, Theus, Sony, Stafford, Moreno, etc...etc...etc...

Stupid poorly thought out & poorly written article... Lotta the comments are putting the writer in his place tho.

That article was also laughingly slanted. Written by Ohio State for Ohio State.

And Boulware seems amazingly entitled and classless.

Regardless, the article is mostly pro OSU B.S. We may be having one of the best recruiting years in the school's history and the article strongly suggests we are sleeping on the state's best prospects.

Uh huh.
