Saban 2007-Present

Has as many National Championships during his tenure at Bama, as all SEC teams combined during his time at Bama.

Has a better winning percentage by 5% over the next closest SEC program during his tenure at Bama.

Since 2008, has a better winning percentage by 11% over the next closest SEC program.

His 83% winning percentage while at Bama is currently better than any coach that ever coached at Bama when coaching at least as long as Saban has coached at Bama.

First loss to Vandy at home since 1945.

First loss to an FCS team in school history.

Worst record since 1979.

1 - 4 against rivals for first time since probably 1979 as well.

Interesting fact? He still somehow has a job.

Since 2013, you've only played one game, and it was on a Monday.

Nowhere to go but down ...

Seriously.

Worst thing you can do as a head coach taking over a down program (or anyone taking over anything for that matter) is to do what Malzahn did.

He is the longest tenured coach at an SEC school and tied with another coach who interviewed for the same MU job opening.

He was on the same football team as Nick Saban in college.

Since his hire in 2001, He has only hired 4 new coaches total.

He has presided over the MU team with the most rushing yards in a season (2013) in school history and the team with the most passing yards in a season (2008) in school history.

He is one of two SEC coaches that are the winningest coaches of all time at 2 separate Division I schools, the other being Spurrier.

I heard on the radio the other day that Spurrier has some bad record on a specific date / weekend and that continued this past season vs UT. I haven't looked up his record on that particular weekend yet but it'd be interesting to see.

Isn't your offense read option based?

Not as much as people think.

90% of what we run may look like an option, but a lot of that is actually scripted.
